How to Search for an Inmate
Identify the Correct County
Determine which county the person was arrested in. If you're unsure, start with the county where the arrest likely occurred or check surrounding counties.
Visit the Official Inmate Search
Use the county links above or go to the county sheriff's website. Look for "Inmate Search," "Who's in Jail," or "Inmate Locator."
Enter the Person's Information
Type the person's full legal name (first and last name). Some systems also let you search by booking number or date of birth.
Review the Results
The results will show the inmate's booking date, charges, bail amount (if set), housing location, and next court date. Some systems also show mugshots.
Take Action
Once you know the bail amount, you can post bail yourself (cash bond) or contact a licensed bail bondsman who can post bail for 10% of the total amount.
